ABSTRACT
The aim of the current study was to study the relationship between emotional intelligence, ego-resilience, and mental health among employees in manufacturing industry. The data was collected from a sample of 120 workers (n=120) aged 25 to 35 who were chosen from all over India for the study. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling. The tools used were Schutte Self-Report Emotional Intelligence Test (Schutte,1998), Ego-Resiliency Scale (Block & Kremen, 1996) and Employee’s Mental Health Inventory (Jagdish, 2001). The current study is a correlational study using a quantitative approach and cross-sectional design. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant relation between most aspects of emotional intelligence and employee mental health. The study also found that ego resilience has a significant relation with employee mental health. Delimitations, implications, and suggestions for future studies have been discussed in the study.
