ABSTRACT

Spirituality is a way to live happily and understand the meaning of life. Spirituality does not change the facts of the life but it gives the strength to accept the truth when things are not in your favour. Spirituality emphasis “things happen for a reason”. Lifestyle defines the attitude, values and somewhat exhibits the social position. Lifestyle of youth in India is taking a rapid turn with the fast changing world influence of globalization, modernization, changing needs of the society and awareness is making the youth more and more ambitious, hence affecting their lifestyle. The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of spirituality and lifestyle between millennials and pre-millennials. A sample of 125 participants including males and females representing both millennials and pre-millennials were taken. They were administered with questionnaires of spirituality developed by C Delen,2003) and Lifestyle scale (S.K. Bawa and Sumanpreet Kaur, 1971). The. Spirituality and lifestyle were measured using Pearson’s correlation coefficient. In a paired t test, lifestyle showed significant relationship between millennials and pre-millennials but spirituality has no significant relationship.
