ABSTRACT

This study aims to explore the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and anxiety among high school and intermediate students. It seeks to determine how different levels of emotional intelligence may influence or correlate with the levels of anxiety experienced by students. To support the statistical analysis of this study, hypotheses have been formulated. Through these hypotheses, it will be examined whether there is a significant correlation between emotional intelligence and different domains of adjustment. Pearson’s r correlation method has been used in this study, which is a standard method for determining the strength and direction of a linear relationship. In addition, the study also aims to determine whether there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and anxiety among high school and intermediate students. Furthermore, this study analyzes whether there is any significant difference in the levels of emotional intelligence and anxiety between male and female students. For this purpose, the t-test has been used, which is an effective tool for statistically measuring the difference in means between two groups. Along with correlation and t-test, regression analysis has also been employed in this study to further explore the predictive relationship between emotional intelligence and anxiety. Regression is a powerful statistical technique used to estimate the extent to which emotional intelligence can predict anxiety levels among students. The findings of this study may prove to be significant for stress management, academic improvement, and overall life enhancement of students.
