ABSTRACT

The objective of the present study was to examine the relationship between internet addiction and social well-being.  There will be a negative relationship between internet addiction and social well-being.  A correlation study was carried out on adolescents of age between 14 to 18 years studying in various inter colleges of Bundelkhand Region. A total of 109 students participated in the study and they were administered Young’s Internet Addiction Test (1998) to assess internet addiction and Social Well-Being of J.J Radzyk 2014 for determining the level of social well being. Obtained result suggested a weak but positive correlation between internet addiction and social well-being. Adolescent are prone to internet addiction, therefore it’s important to take the necessary precautions to keep them from developing this mental health problem. They must be taught about the responsible use of the internet.
