ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the relationship between creative achievement, humor styles and creative personality, with the objective of discerning which of the two factors has a more significant relationship with creative personality. The research study employs a correlational design to explore the relationship between creative personality, creative achievement, and humor. The sample size consisted of 101 adults aged 18-26 from diverse backgrounds and professions. The Creative Personality Scale (CPS), Creative Achievement Questionnaire (CAQ), and Humor Style Questionnaire (HSQ) were used as assessment tools. The contingency coefficient between creative personality and creative achievement was relatively low, suggesting no significant relationship between the two. However, all four humor styles had a significant effect on creative personality, with affiliative and self-defeating humor significantly correlated to creative personality. These findings have practical implications for interventions aimed at promoting creativity in individuals, such as developing interventions to help individuals use humor in a more affiliative way and reduce their use of self-defeating humor. By furthering our understanding of the complex interplay between humor, creativity, and personality, more effective strategies for promoting creativity and innovation in individuals and organizations can be developed.
