ABSTRACT

Teenage years are a very important time in a person’s life because they are full of academic, social, and personal stresses that need to be dealt with in a healthy way. This study looks at how teenagers deal with stress and shows how common both healthy and unhealthy ways of coping are. The results show that a lot of teens deal with stress in healthy ways, like accepting things as they are, solving problems, and doing things they enjoy. These strategies help you deal with stress better and make you more emotionally strong. However, the study also finds unhealthy ways of coping, like denial and self-blame, that can cause long-lasting distress and have a negative effect on mental health. The study shows that teens need targeted interventions to help them learn better ways to deal with stress. Support systems that encourage healthy ways of coping are very important. These include schools, families, and mental health professionals. Teenagers can learn new ways to deal with stress by taking part in stress management education programs, getting more counselling, and using cognitive-behavioral techniques. Creating social support networks and encouraging teens to talk about their feelings can also make a big difference in their mental health. The study gives us important information about the mental health of teenagers and stresses how important it is to teach them good ways to deal with problems. In the future, researchers should look into how coping strategies affect adolescent development over time and how outside factors like socioeconomic status, cultural background, and family support may play a role. Society can help teens deal with stress better by encouraging healthy ways to cope, which will ultimately improve their mental health and overall strength.
