ABSTRACT
Researcher conducted Relationship study with 600 Athletes of different team games, 150 Athlete from each Game (Handball, Football, Hockey, Handball) were choose by using Random purposive sampling method age 18 and above who represented or secured medal at Nationals from any state of India to see if there is Significant Relationship Between Group Cohesion, Aggression and Locus of Control Among Different Sports Person in selected team games. Three Questionnaires were used for the study to measure these Attributes of Athletes which are designed as, Group Cohesion by A.V Carron, L.R Brawley and W.N widmeyar (1985) consistent 18 items with Two dimensions A) Task B) Social, each dimension with two components I.e, Individual Attraction Group-Social (5 items), Group Integration-Social (4 items), Individual Attraction Group-Task (4 items), Group Integration-Task (5 items)\, Aggression Questionnaire by Prof. Anand Kumar Shrivastava and prem Shankar Shukla (1988) consists 25 items, Locus of control by Julian Rotter, Descriptive Statistics shows Mean and standard deviation of Aggression is M- 11.35±3.247, Locus of Control is M- 10.75±3.040, IAGT (group cohesion) M- 24.40±7.679, IAGS (group cohesion) M- 31.52±8.911 and GIT (group cohesion) M- 29.88±8.525, after using One-way ANOVA it was found that there is Significant Relationship between Individual Attraction Group-Task and Aggression as r=-1.09, p<.05, Individual Attraction Group-Task and Locus of Control r=-.099, p<.05. So as, Significant Relationship were found between Individual Attractions to the Group-Social and Locus of Control with r=-.118, p<.05, Group Integration-Task and Locus of Control with r=-.129, p<.05 as well in between Group Integration-Social and Locus of Control with r=-.035, p<.05. level of Significance was set to be 0.05. This research will help the coaches to understand the relationship with variables and moderate according to the best suitable situation for the team to maximize the performance.
