ABSTRACT
This paper examines the intersection of Carl Jung’s archetypal theories with the contemporary digital land-scape. A comprehensive literature review analyses prior research on topics including online identities, social media and the collective unconscious, big data analytics, virtual reality, machine learning applications, online communities, artificial intelligence systems, digital symbolism, and online learning platforms. The paper explores how technological developments align with and expand upon foundational Jungian concepts. A de-tailed methodology outlines the systematic review process undertaken to synthesize insights from multidisciplinary sources spanning psychology, technology, sociology, and media studies journals. The results reveal that the digital world provides new avenues for recognizing archetypes, analysing the collective unconscious, facilitating individuation and self-exploration, and shaping interpersonal dynamics. However, challenges re-main regarding privacy, manipulation, and the scientific validity of applying Jungian theories in technological contexts. The discussion situates emerging technologies as modern pathways for actualizing concepts from analytical psychology. It also acknowledges the ethical complexities of digital spaces. The paper concludes that an archetypal perspective offers a valuable framework for examining both the transformative potential and complexities of our digitally intertwined existence.
