ABSTRACT
The folk culture of Uttarakhand symbolizes the deep spiritual and social heritage of this mountainous state. It not only connects people to each other but also fosters respect for nature and life. Uttarakhand’s folk art and culture have a profound psychological impact on the environment. Traditional arts, music, dance, festivals, and customs are deeply connected to the natural beauty and environment. These cultural expressions have a positive effect on society and the environment, promoting respect, coexistence, and ecological balance. To understand this, it is essential to examine the region’s art, music, dance, and religious customs that encourage environmental awareness and conservation. Uttarakhand’s folk art and culture positively influence mental health, creating a harmonious link between society, environment, and individual well-being. By fostering love and respect for nature, the folk art and culture of Uttarakhand enrich not only the environment but also people’s psychological well-being, encouraging both ecological balance and mental peace.
