ABSTRACT
The study investigates the presence of gender differences between male and female school teachers on various dimensions of workplace spirituality and employee engagement. The workplace spirituality was examined on four dimensions such as compassion, mindfulness, meaningful work and transcendence, whereas employee engagement was assessed on three dimensions including cognitive engagement, emotional engagement and behavioral engagement. The data of 100 teachers working in different government schools was collected using a structured questionnaire employing the convenience sampling technique. The statistical results find no significant gender-based difference in terms of workplace spirituality and employee engagement. Besides, a significant positive correlation also found between these variables. It was concluded that the spiritual values incorporation at workplace could promote employee engagement with the workplace environment. Maintaining a balance between spirituality in workplace environment will be crucial in enhancing the sense of belongingness to their profession.
