ABSTRACT
Adolescence is the most critical phase of an individual. The highly competitive world of today and the absence of traditional norms and support have heightened the stress among adolescents resulting in multiple issues such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, rejection, diffidence, anger, confliction in interpersonal relationship, alcohol abuse and criminal behaviour. An endeavor was made to understand the effect of life skill training on the behavioral issues and skill development of adolescents. Five adolescent students from Kottayam district were selected as sample for the present case study. Life skill training has been given for a period of 9 months. Life skill scale (Vranda, 2007) and Behavioral Checklist (prepared for the present study) were the tools used. The results of the present study laid its emphasis to explore the effectiveness of life skill training on dealing behavioral issues and developing life skill of adolescents.
