ABSTRACT

In today’s world which is changing at an exponential rate, the ability to manage emotions and better adapt to the changing environment is actually a skill now. This skill is also now becoming imperative for job/career satisfaction. This review paper focuses on key concepts- psychological flexibility which is the ability to regulate emotions and effectively deal with stress and cognitive flexibility which the skill to shift perspectives and look handle situations differently. By exploring how much these skills are possessed by professionals from the field of psychology and computer science, it can be inferred how much their flexibility contributes to their adaptive ability and hence impacting career satisfaction. Additionally, illuminates upon research limitations, areas which require further investigation, future scope of research, interventions and implications as well.
