ABSTRACT
Self-perception is the lens through which people see and understand their own characteristics, attitudes and behaviors. The purpose of this study was to look into how adolescents’ academic achievement is affected by their perception of themselves. Using a stratified random selection technique, 100 teenagers in the Panipat District of Haryana, ranging in age from 13 to 18, are chooses as a sample. The information is gathered using the Susan Harter (2012) Self Perception Profile Questionnaire, which was created to examine teenagers’ perceptions of themselves. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis are used to analyze the data. The outcome demonstrated that teenagers’ academic achievement was highly influenced by their perception of themselves. In particular, there was a significant and strong correlation found between academic achievement and self-perception, suggesting that students who had a higher sense of who they were generally better scholars.
