ABSTRACT
The social and emotional development of children plays an important role in shaping their relationships and overall well-being. Positive parenting provides a nurturing and supportive environment that leads to healthy development. The present review aims to synthesize existing literature to understand how positive parenting impacts children’s social and emotional development. Research articles published after 2015 were selected from databases such as Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and PubMed to examine the impact of positive parenting on children’s social and emotional development. Studies show that positive parenting encourages children to express and regulate their emotions effectively and to develop social competence. Understanding the significance of positive parenting can guide parent education programs, policy formulations and intervention design to promote children’s holistic development.
