ABSTRACT
Eating disorders have now become very common. Various images in magazines, online sites promote zero size figure and skinny body. Social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook encourage the young adults to adopt a temporary diet that helps one to easily lose weight but at the same time cause tremendous damage to our physical and mental health. Certain cultures and occupations also promote skinny body. In light of this, there is a need to study the symptoms and the causes of this disorder. The aim of the present study was to assess the clinical picture and explanations (psychodynamic, cognitive, behavioral) of an eating disorder with the help of a film analysis.
