ABSTRACT
The study examined the relationship between occupational stress and teacher effectiveness among secondary school teachers of Kashmir Division. Descriptive correlational research design was used and a sample of 250 government secondary school teachers were selected by using simple random sampling technique. Data was analyzed by using Pearson’s product moment Correlations. The findings revealed that a significant moderate negative correlation between teacher effectiveness and occupational stress of teachers working in government secondary schools of Kashmir Division, implying that teachers with higher occupational stress tend to have lower teacher effectiveness. The study concluded that educational institutions should implement teacher well-being strategies that include stress management programs, counselling services, supportive school leadership, manageable workloads, and continual professional development for the purpose of improving teachers’ resilience and effectiveness.
