A Psychological Study of Emotional Maturity in College Students of Urban and Rural Background

ABSTRACT
The present study aims at studying the emotional maturity of college students of urban and rural background. The finding of the study would have great importance for educational, sociological and psychological counseling work of the college students. Total sample consisted of 100 (50 urban students and 50 rural students) the research for emotional maturity scale was measured by Singh J and Bhargava in 1990. ‘t’ test was used to statistical analysis of emotional maturity of urban and rural background college students. Results show this research was there is no significant difference between urban and rural background college students in emotional maturity and there is no significant difference between boys and girls college students in emotional maturity so the hypothesis is accepted.
