ABSTRACT
A pilot study was conducted to investigate family support and quality of life among transgenders. Through snow ball sampling technique 15 transgenders who do not want to identify them as third gender were selected. Age range 20- 40 years was considered. The sample consisted of 10 transgenders who are in the initial stage of transitioning and 5 who are in the social stage of transitioning. Study reveals significant correlation across the variables, family support and quality of life. The study further reveals significant differences in family support and quality of life among transgenders in different stages of transitioning.
