ABSTRACT
COVID-19 pandemic has caused a lockdown situation in India. In this study, the author analyses the incoming phone calls from the parents during lock down, over a time frame of 40 days to understand the problems faced by the children during lockdown period. This study is to identify those problems and aim at providing a solution to the parents during a lock down situation to keep up the mental health of children. This situation has made a significant impact on child and adolescent psychology. Temper tantrums, mobile phone addiction, head ache, increased accidents, accidental poisoning, anxiety disorders etc. have become a parental concern in lock down period. This article is a bird’s eye view of these problems through a pediatrician perspective and solutions for the children’s problems during a lock down situation.
